Chronicle Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Chronicle is made by Hallowed Hare Studio. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
Your journal stays yours
The templates and records you create are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. Hallowed Hare Studio cannot see or access the content of your journal.
Syncing between your devices, and sharing a template with people you invite, happens through your iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Diagnostics we receive
To fix problems and keep the app stable, Chronicle uses Sentry to send crash reports and performance diagnostics. This data is not tied to your identity, is never used for advertising or tracking, and is never sold.
We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or the contents of your records.
What we don't do
No ads. No third-party trackers. No accounts to create. We never sell your data.
Sharing a template
When you share a template, its structure and records are stored in Apple's CloudKit and visible to the people you invite. You can stop sharing at any time.
Your choices
You control your data in the app: delete records, empty Recently Deleted, or delete the app to remove its local data. Data stored in iCloud is managed through your Apple ID settings.
Children
Chronicle is not directed to children under 13.
